Nathan Wyatt, baritone
Baritone Nathan Wyatt is currently in his first year of graduate study under Steven Rainbolt at the Peabody Conservatory. A native of North Carolina, Mr. Wyatt’s musical studies began with the North Carolina Boys Choir and continued with six years of instrumental study as an oboist and percussionist.
In 2010 Mr. Wyatt was a finalist in the Sylvia Green Competition at Peabody Conservatory. In 2008 and 2010 he received first place honors in the classical vocal division of the Maryland chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
Recent opera roles include the Forester in Janacek’s The Adventures of Sharp-Ears the Vixen and Guglielmo in Cosi fan tutte with Peabody Opera Theater and Figaro in The Figaro Project’s concert adaptation of Le Nozze di Figaro. He has also performed in opera scenes as Don Giovanni (Don Giovanni), Count Almaviva (Le Nozzi di Figaro), Guglielmo (Cosi Fan Tutte), Marchese d’Obigny (La Traviata), David (A Hand of Bridge), and Marcello (La Boheme) at the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival and the Peabody Institute.
Equally adept at oratorio repertoire, Mr. Wyatt has performed as Simon in Haydn’s The Seasons with the Maryland Choral Society, the bass soloist in Haydn’s Mass in Time of War with the Chapel Hill All-City Chorus, and the bass soloist in Bach’s Magnificat at the Peabody Institute.
Upcoming performances include the bass soloist in Mozart’s Mass in C Minor with the Maryland Choral Society.
