William Schaller, baritone

Hailed as having a “warm and inviting” voice, baritone William Schaller was raised in Lewisville, NC. After completing his undergraduate degree in music at Guilford College in Greensboro, he continued on to complete two consecutive degree programs, an MM and GPD in Vocal Performance, at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. There he studied with renowned baritone and concert soloist William Sharp. He has appeared in numerous opera productions at Peabody and in Maryland at large, most recently the title role in Gianni Schicchi, Frank in Die Fledermaus, Gasparo in Donizetti’s Rita, and Barone Douphol in La Traviata. He recently performed Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem with the Piedmont Chamber Singers in Winston-Salem, NC, and with the Guilford Choir in Greensboro, NC. Upon graduating from Peabody, he received the George Woodhead Prize for excellence in Voice.
