“Something Blue is an amalgam of the literal and the implied, ranging from implied jazz/blues classical works to the very literal jazz combo. Satie emulsifies the distinctions and creates a pleasantly smooth background aesthetic that gently ebbs our audience between the tonal waves of the genre’s iterations. With the help of vocalist and classically trained alto saxophone, this Blue concert will prove to be a sonic smorgasbord of shades of blue indigo.”
