“The’ Old’ concert seeks to bring together a diverse palette of musicians, creating smaller more intimate ensembles coupled with voice that speak to the ‘old’ theme. It is reminiscent of past liturgical programs, channeling the spirit of the choral text and setting into a more intimate atmosphere. ‘Old’ instruments, composers, music, and text work together to transport the listener to a simpler time of crystalline beauty and antiquity. The reverent suppleness of madrigals, oratorio, and church anthems is celebrated here in the ‘Something Old.’ It’s a great union, for a great concert!”
